Our simple garage makeover

One of the things we really wanted in our new house was a carriage door for our garage. We had seen countless houses that had them, and then it just so happened the one we chose did not. Hmph.
Cue Amazon.
Did you know that you can buy embellishments to make your garage look as if it has the carriage door-like charm to it? Well, you can!
For under 25 bucks we scored a hardware set to spruce up the front of our home, and despite the hot weather, up it went.

Here is the builder's picture of what we started with:

We got a lawn, landscaping and a few lights, which helped to make our house a bit more homey, but the garage still lacked what we were looking for.

So here comes the hardware.

And here's what we have now!

One more time...before:

And after:

I think it really makes a big difference to the front of our house!
And with that there will be no more projects for us until Mother Nature decides to end her cruel joke.

Stay cool this weekend, friends!
