One of the items on it is to tackle our walk in pantry.
Just let me take a second here to delight in the fact that we have a walk in pantry. A walk in pantry, folks! I can't tell you how awesome it is to not have to stuff cereal in apartment sized cupboards and embellish the top of the fridge with overflow items.
Dream. Come. True.
So with a Pinterest board full of pantry pins, I have been slowly collecting baskets, bins, and buckets to organize our items and searching for new ways store everything. My favorite storage solutions? Mason Jars. I know they are getting a wee overdone, but seriously; this has to be one of the best space-saving, easy-access, eye-appealing projects to do. I think you'll see why.
Step one:
Cover lids with chalkboard paint.
Step 2:
Label and fill. (Which I have yet to do the filling...)
Step 3: (Maybe the most genius of them all)
Stack jars on their side to save space, get rid of bulky boxes, and quickly see what they are storing! No more moving the jars to the side to determine their contents, and utilizing the height of the shelf will be a serious space saver. I am anxious to get the rest of our pantry done, so I can fill these jars and finish!
And while we are on the subject of mason jars, I'll leave you with a little picture of my favorite find from the other day.
Hooray for pretty jars!

ReplyDeleteI love your pretty jars =) I'm a sucker for Mason jars. Just tried dying some blue with Mod Podge and still trying to decide if I like the outcome or not. Love your blue jars though =)
